Are you confused about what healthy foods you and your family should eat?

I totally get it! I used to feel the same exact way when I first started paying more attention to what I was eating. It was after I had Eli, my oldest son. I wanted to eat healthy because I was nursing him but I didn’t know what that really meant. There are so many different opinions out there and they all seem to be contradicting. So what’s a mama to do?

Well, for me it meant reading everything I could and eventually it’s what spurred me to get certified as a holistic nutritionist! And let me tell you, what I found is that the Standard American Diet has become so inundated with overly processed foods that we don’t even know what “real” food is anymore. We need a return to the diet of our great grandparents - real, whole foods that are either minimally processed or not processed at all.

And while this may mean a little more work upfront, the pay off in the long run will be a healthier, happier you with a better quality of life. The majority of our chronic diseases can be linked to our poor diets. If we can start our children off with a healthy diet, then we are setting them up for a lifetime of health and wellness. What greater gift can we give them?!
